Artist Profile
For several years Renata Mastroti studied ceramics in Brazil. In 2000 she was invited for a two-year apprenticeship with Anne Schliffer at the Rochester Folk Art Guild(NY)www.rfag.org
In 2002 Renata moved to Maryland and worked as a production potter for 2 years at the Annapolis Pottery www.annapolispottery.com .
In 2003 she joined the Chesapeake Arts Center team as a pottery tech and artist resident. While at the Chesapeake Center she taught classes and started developing her body of work.www.chesapeakearts.org
Since 2004 she has been producing from her studio in Edgewater, MD and teaching at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts www.marylandhall.org
Her work has been displayed and sold at galleries and stores in the US and Brazil and at Craft Shows. Renata has an MBA from Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
